In collaboration with Variety Magazine, I undertook the challenge of creating a platform to spotlight underground musical talent within their established entertainment publication framework. Rather than forcing diverse artists into a uniform design template, I crafted unique visual narratives that authentically represented each musician's distinct style.

The process began with careful curation, drawing from both personal knowledge and online community discussions to identify truly distinctive emerging artists. Instead of implementing a one-size-fits-all design approach, I developed individual visual languages for each feature that served as extensions of the artists' musical identities. This tailored design strategy allows readers to visually experience each artist's unique creative vision before even hearing their music.

The resulting magazine mockup successfully creates a platform where underrepresented artists can showcase their work through designs that complement and amplify their artistic voice, ultimately helping bridge the gap between underground talent and mainstream recognition.
